OUR SERVICES
When you attend our services, you will find a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere. And if you need help, one of our ushers will be happy to help you find a seat or direct you to our nurseries if you have an infant or toddler. Also at this time, you will be given a Connect Card to fill out. Once you do, please hand it back to the one who gave it to you or place it in the offering basket when it is passed.
Before the service begins, our pianist will play and most people will take time to talk and catch up. You will know the service is beginning when our song leader asks everyone to stand and turn to hymn. Usually, we sing 3 or 4 songs together to prepare our hearts for the message from God’s Word. We worship the Lord with both traditional and more recent hymns and spiritual songs, all of which are sung in a conservative style, striving instead to be mindful of worshipping the Lord in a way that reflects His character.
Although there is no dress code for our services, most who attend choose to dress up for church. But you will see a wide variety in the kinds of clothing worn, so please feel free to come with what you have.
After a few songs are sung, our pastor will make some announcements and then take the offering. Please do not feel any obligation to contribute anything.
The highlight of our service is the preaching of God’s Word, the Bible. Our pastor will direct everyone’s attention to a Scripture text and preach what it means verse by verse, with the goal of revealing what God is saying to us in His Word.
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There is not a dress code at Lighthouse Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Lighthouse Baptist.
No. We don’t invite you to Lighthouse Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
Our services are typically a little over one hour in length.
